A geneouse photographer, Kristen Kalp started the Giving is Awesome campaign and I am delighted to be a part of it. So far over $300,000 worth of custom photography has been pleged by photographers all over the word.
Here is how it works.
The follow is from Kristen’s blog: You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.
You know someone. I guarantee it.
If you do know someone as Kristen so eloquently put it, let me know. I want to know who they are and their story. The winning entry will receive a family photography session, a custom book, DVD slide show and a $300 print credit valued at $1200.00.
The person who nominates the winner receives a family session and print credit worth $500. So please, if you know a deserving family, send their story to me.
The rules:
* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services.
* The nominee must reside in the New York metro area. (Check out the Giving Is Awesome site for photographers all over the country) Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.
