Sneak Peek ~ Two Families, Twice the Fun!

It was a challenge but I love a challenge!  I hope the mom’s of these fun loving cousins agree we succeeded in capturing the essence of these two year olds and their baby brothers.  Two year olds are truly one of my favorite ages but the most challenging!  They have a mind of their own but their expressions are priceless.  When you photograph young children you come to understand that the kids direct the session.  You learn to be patient and always be on the watch for those little moments.  There are times when it just isn’t going to work and that is ok too.  You just try again.  But I think we did it!

E and H, enjoy the sneak peek.  Your gallery will be up soon!

Mom and the girls

A little sneak peak for Mom who looks like the older sister!  These girls were such a joy to photograph.  They actually didn’t mind when we thought we were done and on the way back to the car I would see some great light and say what about just a few more here!  S, R and DM were always willing to try just one more thing and they are so beautiful I could have photographed them for hours.  Little DM is so lucky to have two teenage sisters and the S and R love having a little sister.  They were just a joy to be with.  And what about Mom!  She really does look like a sister as well!  I think older sister S looks like Reese Witherspoon!  I had a great time guys.  Thanks!

Sneak Peek ~ Sweet Boy

I had so much fun with this young man and his family yesterday.  We had a wonderful walk around the pond and got some great shots of his beautiful eyes!  Here is a sneak peek for Mom and Dad with much more to come!  M, thanks for making my job so easy!

Don’t forget to vote!

This has truly been the most incredible presidential election in my lifetime.  It certainly has been going on for what seems like a lifetime!  I do hope that whomever you think will be the best man for the job you go out and let your voice be heard.  The lines may be long but I plan to show up when the polls open and bring my knitting just in case.  One thing I am sure we can all agree on is thank goodness it will be over!  Now that I say that I think of eight years ago and so hope that it is indeed over tomorrow!   Yikes!

A quick sneak peak for Mom and Dad

This is the most wonderful family.  They are the cousins of M and K my first twins from the last post.  I had photographed big brother P in Central Park when he was the same age as his new twin brother and sister.  You can see his photo in the flash bar at the top of the blog header.  Unfortunatley the J family moved South for a while but are thankfully now back in the Northeast and I had the pleasure of meeting P’s new brother and sister for the first time on Saturday.  You guys can’t move again no matter what!  Thanks so much for having me photograph the expanded family this year!

If you have been reading my blog you know I am crazy for long eyelashes.  These little cuties win the prize for the most beautiful eyelashes I have ever seen.  I will post photos to prove it tomorrow and you will see I am right!

Sneak Peek ~ My first twins

These beautiful girls were my first twins.  I have photographed them every year since they were 4 and they continue to mesmerize me! (see the site for past photos)  They are identical but different.  The often do the exact same thing but as a mirror image but also have their own personalities.  I envy their close loving relationship and the fun they have together.  They really are amazing, talented, smart and most of all sweet.

After leaving K and M, I had a session with their cousins which you will see in the next post…a set of twins again and a handsome big brother I have photographed before!  And if you think that is amazing, they have yet another set of twin cousins that I have had the pleasure to photograph.  What genes this family has!

Thanks for the fun hike K and M.  I am already looking forward to next year!

Happy Halloween!

My dear friend Liz was here for Halloween with her daughter’s family which includes two of the cutest little boys you have ever seen!  My little buddies where ducks this year and what wonderful ducks they were.

Our community has a wonderful event where all of the children in the area come in their costumes to the beautiful historic Stony Brook Center and trick or treat at the stores there.  There were hundreds of little cuties in great costumes.  It was great fun and really makes me miss having a little one!  My daughter still loves Halloween but not with Mom!
